| Agresti
Jewelry and Watch Boxes The
Osvaldo Agresti Co was founded in
1949 in the heart of Florence, and operates with the most advanced
technologies available and performs all stages of production, from
raw material to finished product. The entire production is crafted
from exotic and domestic woods in a variety of finishes and are
lined with tarnish free ultra suede. Wood is properly opened and
cut in slices to give a veneer of rich tonality and design. The
veneer of the box is glued to a twelve layer poplar panel and
laminated in opposite directions to prevent warping. The panels
are then sanded, the holes filled with stucco, and then twice
sprayed. This process is then repeated two more times. A delicate
final spraying process then finishes the box to create a beautiful
and unique product. |

Eureka
Globes Masterpiece Collection
Globes fascinate us with their unique
ability to portray our world as a beautiful sphere. Unlike flat maps, the
globe is a perfect Earth model, showing accurate dimensions, directions
and distances. Each globe in the Masterpiece Collection by Eureka has been
carefully designed to combine the most accurate geographic information
with the finest cartographic styles and handcrafted stands for unsurpassed
quality. Their uncompromising attention to detail and legibility produces
globes with superb reference value and aesthetic appeal.
Over 3000 carefully researched place
names are included on every 12" globe - the 16" globe has more
than 4000 place names. In addition to cities, major landforms, rivers and
water bodies are labeled. These globes are valuable geographic references,
in contrast to globes made of acrylic or stone which are often limited to
fewer than 300 labels for the entire world. Eureka's globes also include
highly detailed coastlines representing all continents and islands with
precision
Each stand is designed to complement but
not overpower the globe. All are hand-finished and paired with
coordinated, plated (not spray painted) meridians. Full rotating meridians
allow the globe to pivot 360 degrees in addition to full rotation about
the poles. A semi-meridian spins 360 degrees about the poles only,
minimizing visual interference while retaining an articulated scale in
degrees. An axis arm eliminates the meridian entirely but permits full 360
rotation about the polar axis. Polar caps are made of metal, not plastic.
Selecting a floor or table stand is a matter of personal preference and
space availability. Table models are perfect for desks, credenzas, side or
coffee tables, pedestals, wide shelves or ledges. Floor globes complement
living rooms, dens, libraries, offices and entryways, much like fine
furniture.
It's updateable! Eureka will provide a
new replacement 12" ball for $50 or 16" ball for $75 (plus
S&H) to any Masterpiece Collection globe owner. A removable pin
releases the globe from the meridian for easy replacement.

Before the age of the carbon-fiber racers and the need to compete
for the America's Cup, the prevailing dream was a mahogany built
sailing cruiser. Elegant yet sturdy, able to deal with all kinds
of weather. A classic cockpit, bronze portholes and fittings and a
sensible rig. The Friendship is one of the most elegant and
nostalgic wood cruisers from the 1930s. |
